Hi all,
As I'm sure many of you know already, Italian UFO fan Paolo Malaguti owns quite a large collection of original UFO negatives, transparencies, film frames, etc. Several years ago he offered prints of some of these for sale to interested fans. He is now considering doing this again, but would first like to know what level of interest there is out there in UFO fandom. Paolo is still working out the details, such as sizes to be offered (perhaps 20x30 cm and 30x45 cm), type of photo paper (perhaps glossy and super-glossy), and price (perhaps around 7.50 euros each). Paolo has e-mailed me 4 "proof sheets" with about 150 UFO photos, which I've temporarily uploaded to the following locations: http://ufoseries.com/temp/photo1.jpg http://ufoseries.com/temp/photo2.jpg http://ufoseries.com/temp/photo3.jpg http://ufoseries.com/temp/photo3.jpg So what do you all think? Would you be interested in buying some of these photos if they were made available? -- Marc Martin, [hidden email] |

Ooooooh, some really nice photos! Paul in the sauna - WHOOOOOO!
Some great hardware shots Tiger is interested in too. Hey, I'd be interested, but I flat out don't have the money right NOW. How much is 7.50 euros in USD? Those are odd sizes, too - how bout some 8x10s? Paypal transactions are valid for Italy, very easy to set that up. I would buy a bunch of these photos! AT |

I'm sure Paolo's prints, being printed directly from the transparencies will be of exceptional quality, but you can get very good 4" x 6" prints from even a relatively small jpeg. Just take a few along on a floppy or a CD .. |

Hi Anthony,
You mentioned on SHADO about PayPal transactions being easy to set up for Italy? Since it sounds like Paolo is actually going to put these UFO photos up for sale, I was wondering how he could use PayPal to accept payment? Because, at the moment, the only thing he's tried in the past is having people wire money to his bank account. Marc |

Ooops! That was meant for Anthony Taylor, not the list!
Well, if anyone else knows a good way to send US, UK, etc. currencies to Italy with a minimum of currency exchange charges plus simplicity for both the buyer & seller, I'm interested in hearing about it! In the old days of UFO fandom, we used International postal money orders... ugh! Marc |

Hi Marc-
All he needs to do is go to www.paypal.com and set up a free account (I get$5.00 if he says I referred him from my account email, which is [hidden email]). Paypal can handle transactions between the US and Italy, UK and Italy, and so forth. All anyone needs to do is set up a personal account, then they can use a credit card or debit card to send him funds. I have been using Paypal for two years to pay for auctions and goods online and their service is outstanding. They have secure servers and will *NOT* sell your information to outside parties so that you can be spammed with offers from crooks. It would be great if Paolo would offer all 150 photos in a 3x5" inch formatas a single pack for a low price as well as making them available as 8x10's for people who want larger versions of particular shots. I know I would buy a set of all of them in a smaller format if they were $50.00 - 75.00 or so for the set, plus I want quite a few of them in larger size as well. Glad he is going to sell them for sure! PayPal is the best way to send money internationally.
I've gotten payment from Japan, Italy, Brazil...works like a charm. JF __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Send FREE video emails in Yahoo! Mail! http://promo.yahoo.com/videomail/ |
