Speaking of fan films, Has anybody Know where I can get some of the UFO
meshes in 3Dmax or lightwave etc Format From?
I have found some By they are in Bryce format And In can't convert them.

Thanks.

RESPONSE:

Anthony Appleyward has a web site that archives many of the UFO Anderson
meshes. Some of the best Models ever built for UFO were made by Don Showalter.
Some of his Meshes (including the UFO Saucer) are available in several
anderson Yahoo Group Files. The Skydiver, Interceptor, Lunar Module, Mobile, and
others are there. I believe Don Showalter still monitors mail from this
Group.

Formats: Poser, Lightwave, Bryce

Re: 3D Ufo Meshes - Lightwave

Rob Neal
Anthony Appleyards site consists of Poser conversions of the original
Don Showalter meshes. Poser is an abomination and these meshes are
horridly low resolution.

I professionally converted the Lightwave meshes and textures to 3DS
and MAX9, and I am in the process of designing new textures. When I
have something to upload, I will let you know.

Don tells me he has nearly finished a brand new version of Skydiver.
Incidentally, he was also commissioned to to do some of the new
Captain Scarlet models, including the Rhino Carrier aircraft. His
profile is here: http://www.newtek.com/lightwave/profiles/DonShowalter/

Some UFO stuff is available on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FAB-CGI

Regards,
Rob
