A&E drops all Gerry Anderson series

Hi all,

Looks like in the USA, A&E has dropped all Gerry Anderson
titles due to poor sales:

Which means it looks like A&E will NOT be releasing UFO on
Blu-ray, or any other Gerry Anderson series... :-(

Presumably SOMEONE on the planet is interested in
releasing UFO on Blu-ray?  A region-free Blu-ray would be
playable on any Blu-ray player worldwide (except for
any extra features that might be NTSC/PAL)

Although A&E did have the UFO DVDs on the market
for a very long time.  And the quality was excellent.
And they paid for the production of two extra
commentary tracks not available on the UK releases.

And A&E did manufacture enough of these that
they should be easy to find (on eBay, at least)
and cheap.

It's just that I'd like to see a Blu-ray release at
some point -- either the cropped versions that
were broadcast in the USA, or even better,
remastered from scratch with the proper aspect
ratio.

Seems that rumor I posted last week is not entirely true
(and maybe not at all true).  The website TheDigitalBits.com
checked up on this and found that A&E is still working
on their Space:1999 Year Two Bluray disc.  As for the
other series (like UFO), I don't know...

A Good thing that you checked out with Bill, thanks a lot!
There must be UFO on Blu-ray one day, but the question is what quality (DVD's were almost perfect)...
