Howdy, SHADO operatives:
I've been a fan of UFO for a while but never looked into Yahoo Groups for no good reason.
I'm especially fond of the show's aesthetics -- both its visuals and THE MUSIC.
Anyway, I must confess, the thing that pushed me over the edge to hunt you guys out and
finally join this group was to get the word out about some UFO/Gerry Anderson-related
activities that I'm mixed up over the next couple of weekends.
I have an Internet radio show on Sundays on LuxuriaMusic.com. All excited about the big
Barry Gray concert in London this Saturday (but alas unable to attend), I opted to do a
couple of all-Barry Gray special editions of my show The Beyondophonic Action Hour.
(Detailed info follows below.)
Anyway, sorry for my first post to be so self-promotional, but I'm hoping somebody here
might enjoy knowing about this. :-)
Thanks and take care,
Tothar

2-PART BARRY GRAY TRIBUTE ON LUXURIAMUSIC.COM
In celebration of this weekend's big-deal Barry Gray centenary tribute concert in London, I,
Tothar, present the first of a 2-part Barry Gray special edition of TheBeyondophonic
Action Hour.
This Sunday, Nov. 9 at 7:00 pm Pacific / 10:00 pm Eastern, tune in for an overview of Mr.
Gray's coolest TV and film music. It all will kick off with a chronologicaloverview of the
Gerry Anderson TV canon, starting with "Four Feather Falls" and "Supercar" and going all
the way to "UFO" and "Space: 1999." I'll next share some of my favorite cuts of Gray's
incidental TV music, heavily weighted toward "UFO" (probably my favorite TVshow music
of all-time). The show will cap off with highlights of Gray's film score work. For our UK
listeners, the show will be rebroadcast in the time-zone-friendly slot of 10:00 am Pacific
/ 6:00 pm GMT on 10 November.
Next week, Part Two will focus on cover versions, remixes, and other Gray tributes,
including a couple of recordings made especially for this program(!). You'll hear the Gray
tones of Nelson Riddle, Joe Meek's Flee-Rekkers, Hank Marvin & The Shadows,Montefiori
Cocktail, The Rezillos/The Revillos, Bang Bang Lulu, and MORE!
To hear a promotional spot for this weekend's show (including a preview of the
"Beyondophonic" version of the Captain Scarlet theme), head over to my MySpace page
