A note to all you new members,
Many people on this list are sending messages to SHADO by
simply hitting the "reply" button, typing in your message,
and hitting "send". This is not the correct way to
send messages to a discussion group, because it includes
the entire contents of previous message(s), including
ads for Yahoo, etc., which makes the digests larger
than they need to be, and slower for people to download
their email (not everyone here has highspeed access
and unlimited mailbox sizes).
The correct way to reply to a message is to:
1) hit the "reply" button
2) edit the previous messages down to a bare minimum
so that we know what part of the email you are
responding to.
3) type in your message
4) hit the "send" button
This is the generally accepted etiquitte for posting
to discussion groups, and should be applicable to
all groups, not just SHADO.
Also, and added benefit is that people who follow
these rules get to be un-moderated, which eliminates
the delay between you sending your email and others
receiving it.
