ALEX HARVEY "SHARK'S TEETH"

Brian Serridge
You may be interested to know that there is a reference to "UFO" on the song "Shark's Teeth" by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band from their 1975 LP "Tomorrow Belongs To Me." In the song Alex mentions "the book of SHADO..." (it's actually spelt this way in the lyrics on the inner sleeve). Alex loved sci-fi so it doesn't surprise me that he slipped something like that inhis lyrics. Composer/arranger Derek Wadsworth did the brass & string arrangements on the album and was a personal friend of Alex's. The more initiated amongst you will be aware that Derek composed the music for the second series of "Space 1999." Sadly, he died on 3rd December 2008 aged 69 in Aynho,Oxon. Alex Harvey died on 4th February 1982 in Belgium a day before his 47th birthday.

Best Wishes,

BRIAN
