Hi all,
I was interested in reading about the contents of the 2nd Italian set of
UFO DVDs, so I ran the description page on ufomarket.com through Alta
Vista's translator. I was amused to see the English-to-Italian-to-English
translations of some of the episode titles:
CLOSE UP becomes BLOWUP
E.S.P become TELEPATHY
KILL STRAKER becomes YOU KILL STRAKER
THE SOUND OF SILENCES becomes TOO MUCH HUSH
THE CAT WITH TEN LIVES becomes THE EYE OF THE CAT
THE MAN WHO CAME BACK becomes A ROBOT FOR STRAKER
REFLECTIONS IN THE WATER becomes GLARES IN WATER
PSYCHOBOMBS becomes PSYCHOLOGICAL BOMBS
TIMELASH becomes THE TIME HAS BEEN STOPPED
MINDBENDER becomes MENTAL DISTORTIONS
:-)
Also, for people who already have these DVDs, what are the special features
which do not appear on either the Carlton or A&E UFO DVDs? It appears that
this includes at least an interview with Mike Billington and scans of the
original dialog continuity scripts. Anything else?
Also, I remembered that a mistake had been made somewhere on the Cartlon
DVDs, in that the behind-the-scenes galleries that Fanderson had selected
for disc 5 (Confetti Check A-OK, ESP, Kill Straker), had been omitted.
Unfortunately, it appears that these galleries are not on the Italian UFO
DVDs either... :-(
