Hi all,
Last week someone tried to mail me some very rare UFO transparencies (2 1/4") and 35mm slides. However, this person did not tape the box properly, and the contents were lost in the mail (the empty box made it, however). I doubt these items will ever turn up, but I do know that the post office holds monthly auctions in Atlanta for lost/unclaimed mail items. So if anyone is interested, you might want to check out the October 13th and November 18th auctions, at least for the 8:30 am - 10 am inspection of merchandise. You might get a bargain! (there was also other rare Gerry Anderson merchandise in that box -- if you are thinking of doing this, I can send you a list. http://www.usps.com/auctions/ Marc |
Sorry to hear about that Marc. I wish I knew someone in Atlanta whom is a UFO fan, unfortunately I don't; but, I will keep my Ears open & let them/you know if I see or hear of someone...

Here is an example that will make you want to cry: http://ufoseries.com/temp/transparencies.jpg Marc |
Hi Marc,
Ouch! What a loss... I know how I feel just reading this, so I can nearly imagine how you must feel. Did the person who sent them to you understand the importance of these item? I am already weeping at the loss of this primary source and non replaceable item. What was the person thinking? I would have done my utmost to send them in one piece; it is a shame and loss at same time.
