I don`t agree with the comment that SHADO using NASA to launch large
sattelites
muddies the plot: The US military (as big as it is) on many occassions has
used NASA, especially on shuttles, to launch such satellites for spying
missions. In the event,
NASA would claim that the payload was "SECRET"
even though it is common knowledge that it was
military surveillance hardwear......
