They did video record it. I saw three cameras at least.
The concert was fantastic. The main emphasis appeared to be on earlier
works like Thunderbirds, Stingray, Four Feather Falls and the like. UFO
was relegated to a second half spot with a brief mention and a
compressed suite comprising the opening theme, some of the party music
and about 5 other snatches of incidental music in various styles. The
level of the Hammond organ was too low, which was a shame, I felt, as
the organ is the main part of the music. The featured organist, Harry
Stoneham, couldn't make it, which was a pity.
Space 1999 was treated even worse; cut to about five minutes worth of
opening theme.
