Hi,
For me, one of the most enduring attractions of UFO is the
wonderfully melodic incidental music. I've often wondered if Barry
was influenced by the Belgian composer Joseph Jongen?
Jongen wrote for both piano and organ during the late 19th/ early
20th century, in the style of the french "romantic" movement
prevalent at that time. Some of his pieces sound so similar to
Barry's music, I can't help thinking of UFO when I listen to them!
Does anyone know if this is so, or is it just coincidence?
