Book of UFO short stories

loddonmusic
I've recently started a book publishing company (Black & White Books)
non-profit, and have always thought a book of short stories from the
television series would be ideal. I'm looking into the copyright
aspect of it all at the moment but any initial thoughts from this list
would be great. I had the presumption that UFO should be like Doctor
Who and that other horrible series: keep the stories coming no matter
what. And a great way to start would be a collection of stories. Look
forward to hearing your thoughts.

BTW: I've just come to terms with the death of Ed Bishop and now I
learn today Michael died as well. I can't believe it.

Thanks, James

As Amelia pointed out, the SHADO library has been
around for a while and has a lot of fan fiction posted
there. However, perhaps you should contact Gerry
Anderson's production company as they still own the
copyright on UFO and would have to grant permission
for publication of either adaptations or original
works using the show as a basis. Even for a non-profit
printing. Might check on the official standings of
things like fanzines, also.

Not trying to be officious or a downer, but the legal
climate in the US over copyright and intellectual
property is very strange just at the moment.
