I suffered a hard drive crash on Wednesday and was offline until today. I'm
putting the pieces back together here, luckily my computer shop was able to
save my documents folder and all my Outlook Express files which included as
the mail I saved and hadn't read over the last couple of months/years!
I did lose all my links and my address book listings and I'm reinstalling a
bunch of software that they didn't transfer over from the old drive. They
said the less stuff they bring over the more luck we'll have in saving the
important stuff!
So once again I am behind in all my mail reading, as moderator of Online
Alpha it should take me a few days to get up to speed but I'm sure Doug is
doing a good job. Also anyone who had personal mail to me and hasn't heard
a response it might be a good idea to resend the message if a timely
response is important.
The lesson learned: Backup everything! I feel like I dodged a bullet
since a lot of the mail I saved, including a lot of behind the scenes Main
Mission stuff would have been lost forever!
Also please LMK if my Outlook Express settings are okay. When I set up the
program again I did it from memory but I'm pretty sure I'm sending text only
and not html to the lists.
