I'm glad all of you liked my mm 2000 pictures from the convention this past
labor day weekend! http://www.space1999.net/catacombs/images/cons/phil/indexphil.html One thing though, I got the impression that you thought it might have been me in the Alphan room in uniform! No, that was Eston Dunn and David Penn who were part of the Alphan Room exhibit (Living Props). I would post a picture of myself to the UFO list with Marc's permission (I mean upload it to files) but I'm afraid all of you would go into debt buying new computers after my face appears on your screen! The monitors would shatter like that moonrock in Mindbender! Remember in a beauty contest I was first runner up to C'thulu and the creature from Dragon's Domain! : -) There are a few pictures of me at the convention on the net, most notably Matt Butts' page has a picture of me getting an autograph from Zienia Merton during the Sunday Brunch. http://www.scc.net/~mattb Zienia was asking me about a birthday card that fell out of my autograph book (I celebrated 38 years on 9-2-00 at the convention!) that my wife told me not to open till Saturday. There are more pictures around the newest set is up at the graphic's intensive Moonbase Alpha homepage (Has lots of MP3's too!) at this link http://www.space1999.net/alpha/mm2k.htm Ken's pictures of the guests are a lot clearer than mine, he must have been closer to the front of the room while I was in back tending to my video camera. If you have a slow modem go make a cup of tea while you wait for the page to load! Eventually I will make my videos of MM 2000 available to everyone (I have about 16 hours worth of convention video and 5 hours of audiocassette) but Tom Lowery is working on a DVD project with the convention video right now. He will make an announcement probably in a few weeks as to what will be on the MM 2000 DVD and what extras will be on it. Because of that I am delaying the release of my video's to the general Anderson fandom hoping that interest will remain high for the DVD. I'll post links to the MM 2000 site when the project gets fully announced. Anyway, hope I didn't get too far off topic, if anyone is going to C21 and shooting NTSC video I would love to see it. If anyone is shooting PAL and can convert to NTSC I would love it! Otherwise I would settle for hearing some audiotapes and seeing some pictures. Next week the last set of my MM 2000 negatives (I lost one roll of film, someone found it, developed it and emailed me asking if it was mine!!! Then mailed it to me) will go on Photo CD and I will make available my MM 2000 pictures to anyone who wants them for cost of postage and blank CD. These pictures come in at about half a meg each. They are a bit clearer than the ones on the web page. |
