Hi all!
Just received the A&E newsletter....a banner summer for Gerry Anderson fans to say the least! The UFO box set description (on the A&E site) has updated "bonus features" as follows: "DVD Features include: Commentary by Creator Gerry Anderson on the Premiere Episode "Identified"; Alternate Video Outtakes; Gerry Anderson Biography/Filmograhy; Production Stills Photo Gallery; Interactive Menus; Scene Selection." So it looks like we'll be getting the same extras (for the most part) as the UK DVDs. Also -- for anyone interested, there will be a Space:1999 MegaSet released in August. Not sure what the extras will be (if any, that is) for this set as opposed to what has been released. A Thunderbirds MegaSet and Captain Scarlet box set are being released, too. Check the following URL:
http://store.aetv.com/html/catalog/vp01.jhtml?id=70495 They corrected the listing for "Court Martial", too (it used to just say "Court"). As far as I remember, the GA commentary for "Identified" was not listed previously. Also - refresh your browser to be sure you're not seeing cached stuff. :) Anthony ------------------------- Come visit me at: http://www.tony-island.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marc Martin" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 1:31 PM Subject: RE: [SHADO] Condition: RED > >The UFO box set description (on the A&E site) has updated "bonus features" > >as follows: > > Where does it say this? Bizarre! And yes, the Gerry Anderson commentary was not mentioned before. I also had not heard from the consultant that they had received this from Carlton. I have heard discussions of additional extras, but from what you've described, these aren't mentioned on the page... yet. Marc |

Anthony was kind enough to send me the actual
page from the A&E website, since my browser isn't showing me the latest version (probably my company has it's own cache at the proxy server). I noticed that they corrected the episode order, so that EXPOSED is now before SURVIVAL. Also, interestingly enough, they dropped RESPONSBILITY SEAT and replaced it with CONFETTI CHECK A-OK (I wonder what the story is there?) Marc |

And A&E's bonus features no longer lists surround sound! I certainly hope that's true... I still found it difficult to believe that Carlton would have made a 5.1 surround track and then not offered it as an option on their own DVDs... Marc |
