Fascinating then and now James.Why is it that time grips us like this.Is it a way of being Physically close to distant but enjoyable memories.Is it the sense of feeling that all you have to do is turn around to see where you came from and simply re-tread your steps in order to relive your past.
When I think of UFO I,m always reminded of what my life was like then (when it was first broadcast or when it was first repeated).If I,m passing a certain newsagent in my home town I,m always nostalgic,because I knew thats where as a 12 year old I used to buy those UFO Barratt Sweet cigarettes.Right next to it is a cycle shop,and its still a cycle shop run by the same people from whom I purchased chrome tape in 1973 in an attempt to make a model of Derek Meddings Alien Craft.
