The amnesia drug as a plot device is a must for all secret
organisations! In UFO its most obvious use was in the episode
'the square triangle'. Im not sure if it would stand a
rigorous comparison - I cant imagine Straker getting as 'friendly'
with the aliens as Gwen did in episode two of Torchwood - all
that green liquid might get in the way. Ive heard references to
the xfiles, alien, csi and even house, but of course UFO is superior
to all of those, I dont know why people go crazy over blakes 7
the spaceship in that show looks like three ping pong balls
dangling off a piece of string!
