DVD's Deleted

Hi all,

Some info from the ITC-DVD yahoogroup -- A&E's license
for the ITC catalog expires in 2007, and they will
not be renewing. There have been some staff
changes at A&E lately, and the new staff does not
have a good opinion about these titles.

A&E's UFO DVD set 1 is now listed as a close-out
here:

Certainly, as UFO is be discontnued in the UK
and the US, it might be good to pick up a cheap
"backup" copy.

Actually, I've done a bit more research on this... the
ITC_DVD info was based on info stated on the "Zeta
Minor" discussion forum, which was based on a thread
in the "Home Theater Forum"! So there was some 2nd/3rd
hand info there.

It appears that the A&E licenses for each ITC series
is 7 years from the time of its initial release.
Since A&E released UFO in 2002, it's license doesn't
officially expire until 2009. However, from the
looks of all those closeout sales, it does appear
that A&E is abandoning its ITC titles.

Oh well... I think it's amazing UFO was released
on DVD at all in the USA... it had never been
released in its entirety on VHS.

Good prices, too bad they only ship to a US address.
