Denise, It's been a long time since I read some UFO fanfiction. I was dedicated to my other love (Starsky & Hutch). But then, recently, I went through my UFO sites - even that's when I decided to join this group - and then started looking for some stories to read. First I was caught by "Time for Anny" and I must say I loved it. I'm glad Ed could get some kind of happiness and love in his life. And then now I'm caught by The Conover Saga. I remember I had saved some of the stories in my computer, but now I'm completely trapped by the whole series. I like the idea about Ed, and some other characters, very original...LOL Your writing is very easy reading, not something difficult to understand and that's another reason to be reading one story after the other. Hope Ed finds some love and peace too. Thanks for sharing your stories. Hugs, Gia [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

It is also a tribute to my best beta-tester for UFO stories, Anny Theberge. (Hi, Anny!) I have a sequel lined up for it that I hope to someday get on paper that tells MaX's story (and you'll never guess who he ends up with!) In the sequel there will be mention of Anny & Ed's kids too. Should be fun. > And then now I'm caught by The Conover Saga. I remember I had saved some of > the stories in my computer, but now I'm completely trapped by the whole > series. This is the series that is keeping me from working on anything else. I'm finishing up #19, but it's hard going because Straker nearly dies in this one, so it's not easy to write. I know I've had him near death before, but not like this. So sometimes I just have to walk away from it. I need to get it done, so that I can wind up the series with its bang of a finale in #20. > Your writing is very easy reading, not something difficult to understand and > that's another reason to be reading one story after the other. Considering that I majored in nuclear physics in college, I'm not big on technology in my stories. I don't read sci-fi for the technology, but for the ideas and the characters, so that's what I tend to focus on when I write. And people being people, they're never too hard to understand! > Hope Ed finds some love and peace too. > Thanks for sharing your stories. It's funny you should say that, because one of the only critiques I've gotten from the Conover Saga is that I've made Straker TOO human! But perhaps those who find that odd never had a relationship that changed their life like that. From watching the series, it's easy to see that the only thing that will save Straker is to find him a woman who can understand him and reinforce his humanity. On a technical note: a few of the stories posted at the SHADO Library have glitches in them that have deleted entire paragraphs of the story. This is because they were downloaded from my old site which is no longer active. For accurate versions of the stories, you may wish to check my new site at: http://www.geocities.com/neesierie and click on the UFO link. This site also has all of the series in order and not mixed in with the other UFO stories I've written. I've had a few confused readers ask where Sheila is when Ed gets back with his exwife in "Full Circle." Um. . . guys? Same UFO, different universe. Having the Saga separate keeps the confusion at a minimum. Thanks for your kind comments about the stories. Feedback helps me focus and keep plodding away, so I appreciate it very much! Yours, Denise
Straker, somehow it's always about you.

The kind of "Mary Sue" stories. I want to see the character happy. And I wrote a series of stories myself (in Spanish, that's my tongue language) where there's that special woman that can fit in every way with Straker and they're really happy. Action and romance is the best combination in fanfiction for my taste. Though you're surprised that I like that "too human" Straker, what it really caught me off guard was the alien idea...But I can adjust to that too...LOL <<On a technical note: a few of the stories posted at the SHADO Library have glitches in them that have deleted entire paragraphs of the story. He's just such a stuffed shirt that I always wondered what would happen if he found out that he was ONE OF THEM!!!! *grin* It's been so much fun to make him deal with a larger universe. Maybe I should start translating them, but that would take forever. Can't assure you anything. <<Ha ha! And you really started a chain of marriages and babies to fill their world. I'm really enjoying all this. Hugs, Gia [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I originally planned on doing a Next Gen series of UFO stories that meets back up with all their kids in about 25 years or so. But now I'm not so sure I want to commit myself to another long series. But since I've set things up for a few of the characters already, I may do one or two of them. But that's down the road a ways. So glad you're enjoying the Saga. It's been a great joy to me to write! When I first started writing them I didn't know about this beautiful world of internet and all the groups about different fandoms. It's really great to meet more people that share one's craziness for tv series or movies from a long time ago. Well, about my stories, I don't have a UFO webpage, but I could e-mail you the Word files if it's the same. > WOW, now I'm reading each part of the series, saying well who's next > discovering the true??? Yours, Denise Well, not a bad idea, but I understand that it could be difficult even for you to not have our main characters as we know them, right? Anyway, if you do write something about this, I'm interested in reading it. Yours, Gia [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I was just writing an introduction to my stories. Then let me know when you get it, and I'll send the stories afterwards. Poor your son. How old is he? Does he like UFO?? Any problem then with the stories, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance for taking the time for reading them...LOL Hugs, Gia --- In [hidden email], "gpietro" <gpietro@b...> wrote: > Well, about my stories, I don't have a UFO webpage, but I could e- mail you > the Word files if it's the same.
