Destruction; Clones.

If the aliens are so far advanced medically, it should have been possible
for them to clone 'spare parts` from just 1 or 2 'original` sources.

This might be plausible, in the context of the story, whereby tns are
trying to destroy the human race; we aren`t needed any more for 'raw`
materials.

If the aliens are a dying race....and lets assume that there are no Mr.
Clone machines sitting on the aliens kitchen counters, perhaps the aliens
are coming to Earth because they don't KNOW how to clone anymore. The
skill has been lost through war, or disease. All the.....(Here it comes)
Clone Masters are gone and in desperation, the survivors come to Earth to
steal instead of making their new parts.

If all the Washing Machine repairmen (and Women) vanished one day I'd have
a hard time fixing my machine. I'd probably have to buy a new one....or
steal one on a nearby planet! <heh heh heh>

Phil's comments about clones is touching very closely to a thread I've been
working on in my fanfic. Most of my modern (ca year 2000 and beyond) UFO
stories are involved with the idea that aliens have upped the ante in what
they're doing. They are trying to breed human-alien bybrids, and they may be
working to clone those successfully bred hybrids for whatever nefarious
reasons they have. I have my characters making suppositions about why the
aliens could be doing this (i.e. a new advance in the aliens' physical
evolution, making clones for quick organ access - your guess is as good as
mine....). I pursue this thread throughout Orion, Shifting Sands, Private
Agendas and another story which isn't on the shadolibrary as yet, called
Orion's Shadow. Pam
