Die Cast Skydiver

Scott Kellogg
Hello all,

I was wondering about the die cast metal skydiver model that's available.
I've seen reviews of it on the US version of Amazon.com, saying it was badly made, had no stand and the plastic Sky One didn't attach very well to the Diver section.

Does anyone here own one?  How would you review it?

Thanks!

Well, other than the fact the plastic periscope accidentally broke off
rather quickly, I like mine...

Never bothered by the lack of stand and didn't even notice that Sky One
is plastic (is it?)

if you cant find one, go to the files section here and look in papercrafts, the skydiver model is pretty good, and all you have to do is print it out and cut it out and glue it together.
also i googled that and a lot of resin models come up.

I think it's a very nice piece. The only issue I have is that it is a little hard to see the "SkyDiver" lettering.  Other than that, I think it's good.  Also, because it's obviously a collectors item, I have not worried about a stand, because I've just kept it in it's original box. I have a completed resin model of the Skydiver that I have on display that was produced by a company called "WAVE."

RE: Die Cast Skydiver

keith costello

As I collect other diecast models I thought Skydiver was an impressive well detailed piece and well worth the money.

As with all models today a mixture of plastic and metal is used during constuction but it doesen't make it any less of a model.

I have had no problems with attaching Sky 1 to the diver section.

Mine is mounted on the base supplied with the Konami Skydiver and looks great !

Wasn't WAVE model made of vynil? Is there a resin version too?
Product Enterprise's Skydiver is not bad at all, especially when there is no competition in the field of SkyDiver die-cast models.
Yes, the SKY1 is made of plastic and is just a little bit bigger then Konami's SKY1 which is also excellent (if not even better)

All the best,
Branko
