Digital Entertainment UFO Videos Now Out-of-Print

Hi All,

I've been informed that the UK "Digital Entertainment" UFO videos are
now out-of-print. I'm rather surprised to see this happen so
quickly... I wonder if this has something to do with Carlton being in
the process of re-releasing Gerry Anderson videos on their own label?

Yep!

They were all removed from the catalogue either earlier
this month or last, probably as a prelude to the release
of UFO probably later next year. In fact, if you try to
order any of the past Anderson titles from the usual retailers
you'll have much the same result, (except for the 2
Thunderbirds films, Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun,
and Space Precinct, which are all not covered by
Carlton of course). I believe it has something to do with
Carlton attempting to cement its image with the current
catalog, (rather than having half a dozen players in
the field like in the days of Channel 5 / ITC / Polygram etc.)

Phew, I'm glad I got my own copies. I guess I better start saving up
for a DVD player, too. <wiping sweat from brow>
