Ed Bishop @ Eclectic 21 convention 2001

John Wadsworth-Ladkin
Hi All,

I hope everybody is ok and swinging in that 60's sort of way!! i.e
partying!!!

I just thought this maybe of interest to those of us who belong to this
group, but I am delighted to announce that Ed Bishop has agreed to be a
guest at a convention, Eclectic 21 which will take place at the Leicester
holiday Inn hotel England, May 25-27 inclusive 2001.

Like an idiot, I agreed to become part of a convention committee and so I,
along with she who must be obeyed, have been allocated the job of guest
liason. Well, as UFO fan, I thought with responsibility comes taking
advantage hence my OWN decision to invite Ed and, yeah babies, he has agreed
to come to the con.:-) :-) :-)

This I should say is multi media con so it is not exclusively a UFO related
event. There will be actors and writers from other sci fi, fantasy, horror,
call it what you will genres - so far Gareth Thomas and Jacquline Pearce
from Blake's 7 and Storm Constantine aka UK gothic writer are also confirmed
to attend.

Yeah I know, its a bit of a plug but after all, it is Ed and I don't think
any of you would have forgiven me if I had not told you - right Amelia and Y
? :-) :-)

John

UK DVDs and A&E

Keith Wilson
Greetings,

A&E is releasing "The Prisoner" here in the U.S. finally, but I've
discovered that it's a much better deal to buy the UK versions. A&E is
releasing "sets" of three episodes for $39.95 list (you can get them for
$24.95 pre-order), which means by the time you get the entire series you'll
spend a minimum of $150.00. And they're going to trickle them out, like
they have the Avengers. But I can go to Blackstar right now and order the
entire series in one box for £59.99 (or $87.45 US).

Yikes, we're being gouged. I'm sure something similar will happen when the
Thunderbirds get released on DVD over here. I'm glad I've pre-ordered my
box set from Blackstar.
