Ed Bishop as narrator for DRUNK IN TIME

Bill Cotter
They say you learn something new every day. Well, here's one for me
today. Ed was the narrator for a British spoof of the Irwin Allen
series "The Time Tunnel":

The DVD of the 1980 film "The Apple" is scheduled for
release in August. Set in 1994, two Canadian
folksingers fight BIM, an evil music corporation run
by Mr. Boogalow (Vladek Sheybal---looking very
Devilish). God arrives to save the day in the last
scene---in a Rolls-Royce! I've never seen this
'midnight movie' fixture, but it seems Sheybal has a
prominent role in it.

Can you make certain this is a bona fide release and not one of the many
pirated copies on DVD available on eBay?

Claire,

It was announced in the June/July issue of
"Entertainment Weekly" on page 107. It's listed as #93
on their "Must List" for 2004.

You know, I was browsing through that issue yesterday,
and I saw the photo of Vladek, and all I thought was,
"Gee, that looks an awful lot like Vladek Sheybal", but
then just kept browsing! I didn't really expect to
see Vladek Sheybal in an issue of Entertainment
Weekly, so I didn't believe it when I saw it!
