Hi All:
I forgot to mention, a few weeks back Ed Bishop did a GREAT JOB playing the
part of J.F. Kennedy in a BBC Radio 4 docu-drama recalling the Cuban Missile
Crisis (40th anniversary).
Ed performed a very realistic and forceful impression of JFK. Ed's
performance was commanding (reminded me so much of Straker, but with a
subtle JFK accent) and when coupled with the actual words of JFK
(transcribed during that critical time in our history) was quite chilling.
Ed's voice still has the power of authority, determination and is very
convincing, even remembering this was a radio performance.
Ed's performance voice (as above ala Straker) was extremely different to his
'conversational' voice as heard on the UFO "Sub-Smash" commentary, which I
found unrepresentative (compared to other recent recordings), and in my
opinion didn't show off Ed's voice in a good light.
Anyway, good on you Ed :)
Again, best to all :)
Griff
