Hi

Gerry Anderson said specifically that Ed Bishop did not wear any contacts in his commentary for "Identified". I presume the same is true for Michael Billington.

However, Ed Bishop (and most of the cast) did have blue eye liner makeup, which my wife tells me accentuates the size and colour of the eyes...

Hope this helps,

Griff

I don't remember Ed Bishop's as being "amazing" exactly
when I chanced upon him in Tesco, I must admit. But he was
a lot older then. I suppose the colour fades.

The UFO DVD's are rather colorful, so what we're seeing
on TV might be an exaggeration of the real-life color
saturation. It has already been pointed out that the
color of the purple wigs on the DVD's is "wrong", in
that it is too red. The actual color of the wigs is
closer to that in this photo:

Regarding Ed Bishop's eye color; my recollection from meeting him in personwas that his eye color was an amazing bright blue color. I would say I'm biased except that I honestly didn't expect them to have maintained that color with age. When I turned to look toward him before having a picture takenwith him, I was caught off guard by the color and brightness of them. Perhaps it was just that I was in very close proximity to him. I guess it couldalso have been the overhead lighting.
Whatever the reason, my vote is that the amazing color onscreen matched thecolor in real life.

Sadly, I did not have the good fortune to have met Michael Billington so I cannot give an opinion on his eyes.

It was taken in late 2003.
