Re: Ellis Statue

High Cotton
I found this at Marmit's website:
http://www.marmit.co.jp/tuhan2/ufo-004a.htm
It looks substantially different than the other photos, and it's on a
page with a lot of Kaiju vinyl toys... is this a vinyl version?
Can anyone translate?
Thanks,
AT

Re: Ellis Statue

SHADO
By "puzzle", perhaps they mean "model kit"? Just a thought...

Re: Ellis Statue

High Cotton
If they do mean model kit, the sales price is only $63.50 which would
indicate to me that it's a vinyl kit.
Unfortunately, the deadline for ordering is long past. It was supposed
to ship in March, anyone get one?
Guess we would have heard of them before now if so...

Thanks for the pistures Marc!
This is obviously a Marmit statue you have been mentioning in "What's new"
on your ufoseries.com web site. It was supposed to be made in two variants:
Statue and Model. It looks really great, nothing like some talking dolls
that we've been mentioning around here...

My question is -- is this statue really *new* ? This statue was
announced 2 years ago!

Here's the answers on this one....
The statue in Steve's pics is the 2004 resin one, painted. A kit was
released at the time also.
The new one was done as a prepaint vinyl model recently, with a MUCH
different paint job. Much more toy like. There will also be a kit released that
will need to be assembled, and painted yourself.
Where did you get your's Steve?

Hi All
Just got back from Vegas. The new HQ there is really nice. I mean what
better place other than a movie studio is there to hide a SHADO base than beneath
a giant Casino/Hotel in the middle of a desert near Area 51.
But getting to the point. Had a look at the photos of the Ellis statue
and they are nice but I note a small error that most might have missed. Gay's
rings. In some episode she wore two unless they flopped the photo so it made
it seem like she had one on each hand. But the big mistake is that the ring
is on the wrong finger. She wore them on her second finger not the the third
finger.
Now I have to rest. Interview potential Showgirls.... er I mean
Operatives for a week takes a lot out of ya.

James K.
