Even more photos at Rex Features!

Hi all,

Last year, some of us were amazed at the number of never-before-seen
UFO photos at Rex Features. I think they had about 550 photos.
I just checked, and they now have even more! I haven't counted,
but doing a search on "UFO 1973" or "UFO 1972" or "UFO 1971"
or "UFO 1970" brings up a lot. For example:

Obviously there are far more UFO publicity photos in existence
than I ever thought!

Okay, I just checked -- the above searches being up 1363 photos
from UFO, many which I have never seen published!

In the past, I've seen complaints from licensees that
there weren't very many photos available from the copyright
holders for UFO. Evidently, the copyright holders must have
found a lot of photos previously thought to be lost... (?)

It's also worth noting that there are stills for many other ITC shows at Rex, such as The Saint, Dept.S, Man in a Suitcase etc.

As you indicate, dates are useful in searching but sometimes they are a bitwayward, so it's worth trying a couple of years either side of the "correct" date.

I see the reasoning for the UFO dates, as most of the episodes had UK
broadcast dates in 1970 and 1971, but a few episodes were held until
1973. Thus, these 3 years give most of the photos, even the photos were
actually taken in 1969 and 1970.

Also, in the past, some have noted that there are very few good quality
photos of SID available. And sure enough, looking through these 1363
photos, I find only one photo of SID, and it's in black & white!

And even though this is the largest collection of UFO photos I've
ever seen, there are still photos missing -- some of the photos
on my UFO website, for example, are not found here.
