Hi All,
I've just reactivated [hidden email], since FAB-UFO appears to be down yet again. Has anyone received anything from the PIPEX listproc in the last several days? Marc |
Marc, no, and I just tried to change from digest back to regular mail. The
message went out but after that - nothing. The FAB-UFO message archives in
http://www.lists.pipex.com/cgi-bin/digests?list=fab-ufo are still accesible, and in its "Unarchived FAB-UFO Messages" page the last message is:- > Message 21 on Fri, 30 Jun 2000 22:32:20 -0400 > by "Anny Theberge" <[hidden email]> > Subject: Re: Again - new at the Library Dees anyone know of any 3D mesh models of UFO characters (people) (except my Poser model of an alien on http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/alienga.zip ) (I have Don Showalter's models of UFO vehicles; they are very good.) |

The LISTPROC server seems to be working, but the distribution of discussion e-mails seems to have been disabled. Perhaps Chuck Foster is in the process of moving everything to a new server? I don't know... he's not replying to my e-mails... Marc |

Sorry for the late reply, my microprocessor fried last Thursday so I was
offline for a while. Am also testing how to filter the shado@egroups messages to find their way into the desired folder.... Phil wrote: >Glad you kept the Egroups list active Marc! Quite! Seems like a back-up system is necessary with anything computer-related! >Hope this invasion of FAB-UFO underground headquarters passes quickly with >those red suited suckers going back in their spinning tops for a dance with >skydiver! I wonder if there isn't some sort of conspiracy going on. I had a list at Listbot and around the time Fab-Ufo started misbehaving, so did Listbot. Then all was OK again for a while, then it started to play up again... I ended up transferring the whole Listbot group to my eGroups list (both were about Andrea Bocelli anyhow). Listbot still isn't working properly (I didn't delete the list, just took most members off) As to the conspiracy: We all know Yahoo and Geocities merged a few months ago.... EGroups merged with Onelist in April. At the end of June Yahoo and eGroups merged.... I see a pattern there.... The alien software experts must be sabotaging other list servers so that there is only one listserver left... After which, of course, we'll find that the aliens (our aliens) are the driving force behind Yahoo and Straker and Co will have to root them out :-) Anyway, Marc, I take it not many people are on this eGroups list, some of the people that were on it before may have unsubbed... you can transfer the whole Fab-Ufo group to eGroups by notifying them you're doing this, in which case it'll probably take a few days before they respond, but that way you can add all email addresses of the Fab-Ufo list at once. Or you can add up to 50 addresses to the shado eGroups list per day. Then you can activate it each time the pipex listserver is down. CU Lieve |
