Subject: Ed Bishop on the radio!

Dear All,

on Monday Nov. 17, 11.00 AM Italy time, the Italian-speaking Swiss radio
channel "RSI Tre" will broadcast a programme featuring Ed Bishop and UFO,
named Cult (http://www.rtsi.ch/prog/Rete3/welcome.cfm?scheda=1683191).

The programme will be, of course, in Italian and we do not know how much of
the original EB talk/interview will be left undubbed.

Should any of you be willing to listen to it, it's going to be broadcast
also on the net (RealPlayer).

Here are the links:
www.rtsi.ch and then click on the upper light green button "Tre" in the box
which reads "Ascolta LIVE!" (or, go directly to
http://www.rtsi.ch/live/player-rete3.cfm which should work as well).

Ciao.

teresa

UFO Book

lunadude2001 <russell_smith@ntlworld.com>
My book arrived yesterday courtesy of Amazon. It generally very well presented with stack of b/w images. Perhaps a couple of
glitches - This one is a nit pick. - there is a poster of the Village of the Damned movie dating it as a 1956 production - I'm almost
certain it dates from 1960.

The other one is a little more curious, the book states that the original run of UFO on Anglia, was on Wednesday evening. I grew up in
the Anglia Tv region I my distinct recollection is that UFO originally aired on Friday nights before moving to the Saturday tea time slot,
a episode was cancelled - Confetti Check A-OK when the 1971 FA cup final between Arsenal and Liverpool wnet into extra time. The
book also states that that Anglia aired the show uninterupted including the 'banned' episodes at peak time. I'm little more hazy on
this, but I'm pretty sure they did'nt as I remember nagging my my father to alter the TV aerial to pick up ATV [we lived on the cusp of
Anglia and ATV regions - Anglia was the better signal, but by altering the aerial allbeit slightly snowy we could pick up ATV !] and
I remember watching episodes I had'nt seen via ATV on Saturday tea times - one being ESP I remember that because it gave me the
creeps.

I'm also pretty certain that Anglia did show the so called banned episode after the 10:00 watershed, I certainly remember begging my
parents to let me stay up during a week night to watch Mindbender - that would have been a Wednesday as European football was on
prior to UFO - I remember it was Leeds Utd play someone !!!

I'm curious to know if anyone else can colloborate the above ?

Anyway thats small beer the book is excellant and GREAT to have, and I recomend it un reservedly.

The Lunadude.
