Welcome back Lorraine! I'm glad to hear you two had a good time, and
I look forward to hearing your full report -- and seeing pictures!
You can either directly upload them somewhere, or e-mail them to me
and I'll upload them somewhere.

So did anyone here videotape the interview with Ed Bishop and Francis
Matthews? If so, Lorraine did an excellent job in transcribing the
Ed Bishop/Gabrielle Drake interview from the Century 21 convention,
and she's volunteering to do it again with this interview -- if we
can just find a tape of it for her!

James,
Actually, there were two Star Trek personnel, both from the engineering
dept. (mustard uniforms), and I know personally that one of the two dances
very well. *grin*

Gareth,
As a big Con attender, I am aware that this is the most nerve-wracking part
of any convention: choosing whether to enjoy the interviews or get the
autographs. And Saturday's schedule was a joke, wasn't it?
I saw several of the group there, but I missed you. Did you attend the Ball
in costume? I was wearing a futuristic gold minidress and danced my feet
off. Since I was the only girl there so dressed, perhaps you saw me? *grin*

Katie,
Wasn't the dance a blast? I especially enjoyed seeing Wonder Woman (who was
sooo embarrassed when they played the show's theme music and the crowd
parted to watch her dance!) What costume were you wearing? I really wished
I had bumped into you. I was so looking forward to chatting with you at the
Con.

I hate to say this, Marc, but that interview was so awesome that you really
needed to see it in person! Between Bishop correcting Francis every few
minutes with old work schedules (two days/two shows) and Francis doing Cary
Grant imitations that were right on, the audience was left in giggling heaps
throughout. And of course, the final touch of Francis leaning over to plant
a huge kiss on Bishop at the end of the interview!!!! Truly awesome stuff!

Hey, where were you guys hiding? I kept looking all over for a couple
wearing the nametags of Charles and Lorraine and never did see you! And I
had so looked forward to it! Wasn't the Con a great time? In spite of all
the disappointments (and there were some big ones), I was so impressed with
everything that I know I'll be going back. When's the next one? *grin* And
will I finally meet you there?

Fanderson Con

Charlie & Lorraine-2
Denise,
Charles and I were there for most of the convention and we were in the lobby
quite a bit as well as the bar Fri night (way too late) and Sun night. We were
at the costume ball as well although we were dressed in our regular clothes ( I
believe charlie's sox and/or sneakers might have been from the 70's hehehe). We
weren't going to attend because we didn't bring costumes and then I recalled
Marc saying in Sept 2000 that not everyone was in a costume. We decided to go
and mingle with friends from the last Con. I was even on the dance floor for a
while too. I don't recall seeing you there but I kept asking people to look for
your name tag. We did leave the hotel friday and part of sunday and all of
monday to see the neighboring sites. There were quite a lot of people at the
Con but I can't believe we didn't run into each other. It is very likely that we
will be there for the next one so next time we'll email pics of each other so we
can spot one another. Were you staying at the Allesley Hotel?

It's always a bit difficult to spot people at these cons. I spotted
a lot of people at "Century 21" because I already knew what they
looked like from seeing their photos in fan publications. And I
think Lorraine spotted me based on a photo of me on my website!
But if you have to depend on reading nametags, then it can be
rather difficult.

Perhaps before the next convention people should post photos of
what they look like in advance? :-)

Once the disco had got going he was really good.

Yes, she was! It made up for all of the times that she embarrasses us! That
woman has no shame! :-)

I was wearing a brown caftan. I was part of the group that included Wonder
Woman, Denise Rousos, Parker and Virgil.

It would have been nice to chat. I spent alot of my time talking to people I
hadn't seen since the last con, although I did managed to get to some
programme items this time!
