Femme Fatales of UFO

SumitonJD
Along with all the expressions of sympaths I have got today I also had
another message from Lisa Coduto of Femme Fatales magazine. She states
possitively that they have a writer assigned to interview Sylvia Anderson.

Look what is happening over in Ebay land

Jim Durdan
Ran across this tonight, I have to say it's a pretty impressive custom.
I wish I could see the other UFO based ones that he did.

It's here, Pam:

I have to say with all humility, I don't quite share Jim's
opinion that it's 'impressive' .. :P

Hi James: thanks for the photo of the Straker toy - I have to agree with
you. It doesn't look a thing like him and the dark coloration of the face is
awful. Pam

Well I still have to say that I think the artist did a pretty decent
job. Anyone have pictures of any better customs I would love to see
them.

Just looked at figure, and you are right is does look like Star Trek. Wonder
if who ever designed figure ever saw a picture of Straker. It does not even
come close to a resemberlance, no Nehru. Elaine

RE: Look what is happening over in Ebay land

While I appreciate all the negativity that is flaoting here, I still
like the looks of the figure, as compared to all the major toy company
UFO figures.

And I am waiting for someone to post a pic of a better custom.

Oh, hey, I didn't mean to be negative! I mean, I sure as heck couldn't
make an action figure. No, it's cool - just no nehru ...

My first thought was "okay, there's the David Soul figure, now where's Paul
Michael Glaser?"

I also don't think anyone was trying to be overly negative, it just looks
kind of funny to some.

I will give credit to the person who's auctioning it trying to something
that others seem to not want to bother with.

For those interested here is a shot of the Alien in Progress.

http;//www.foreignmego.com/auctions/alien.jpg

and for those interested the outfit on my Straker is not a trek
outfit, but I am currently working on one of his suits and Paul
fosters flight suit.

Also, I do more obscure sci fi characters at
http://www.geocities.com/loganmego

Straker simply must wear a nehru. Is Foster's flight suit going to be
unzipped to his navel? <eyebrows going up and down>
;-)

Logan's Run, huh? Now that takes me back a few years ....
Hey, the sculpture is quite a nice likeness for ... Logan, ummmm,
Harrison ..... yeah, Gregory Harrison - nice likeness!

In your HTML, you accidently put '?' instead of '/' for some of your end
center marks (<?CENTER> shows up a couple times on the page)

As my guy would say, Neato, groovy, cool!

This first Straker was sort of the TImelash Straker, one of my
favourite episodes. If the figure proved popular I was going to
commission a custom sculpt and a Nehru version. I later decided that
I want one so I'm just going ahead and doing it.

As for Paul, I am planning to do either that Silver Moon suit or
maybe an Interceptor pilot outfit with helmet. decisions decisions.
It's weird but I knew I had to do that open chest look with him.

Thanks! Although I never thought of Gregory Harrison like that :)

My friend sculpts toys for a living, he also does movie FX, if
anyone saw "Terminal Invasion" on the weekend (Sci Fi chanenel movie)
He did that alien.

I currently have a Space 1999 Maya custom on ebay and then Sean and I
are going to do a tiny run of a personal favourite, The Prisoner.
We're only doing 3 and we're each keeping one.

No I am in luck a person who runs a doll making Yahoo Group lives in
my town, I do alot of detailing to the outfits, head painting etc.

Yeah,

He and Bruce conversed quite a bit, it was a very quick film (17
days) and Bruce is apparantly very open. He found out my friend
sculpts for MacFarlane and wanted to know if he had ever sculpted any
Ash figures.

Hey, I'm a fan of the series and I wouldn't mind a really nice figure of
Number 6. Also, let me add to the praise for the LOGAN'S RUN figures. Those
really look good.
