For will-be FireStorm fans
FireStorm may be a slightly off-topic at this egroup, but I translated the storyline that was announced officially in Japan. *** 30 minutes , 26 episodes Will be aired at every Sunday 9:00-9:30 a.m. from this April 6th. Year Setting : 2014 Introduction of its Storyline : Since the end of the 20th century, new criminal organizations had maneuvered on a world-wide scale. Piracy, extortion, and blasting and so on spread all over the world. Among them, one crime organization, calling itself "Black Orchid", grew rapidly, and all of those who fought against the Balck Orchid defeated . Major nations in the world formed a crack unit "Storm Force" that should beat the Black Orchid. In it, there is a leading elite group "the Storm Force 9". This secret operation is called "FIRESTORM" by the code name . One frightening fact occurred in the shooting war among the Storm Force and the Black Orchid. The face of a member of black orchid who was shot and died began to melt . However, it was only the prologue of the following many strange incidents... Hiroshi Ishizuka, Japan |
Hmmm... sounds like typical Japanimation fare and even less exciting
than Space 1999. Of course, maybe the stereotypical Japanimation western thugs, in a master plot, will blow the moon out of orbit, have it captured by aliens, then saved by International Rescue. Whaddya think Gerry? Yuck (as opposed to Yuch). "Imagine a dying planet in some distant corner of the universe. Its natural resources exhausted. Its inhabitants sterile. Doomed to extinction. A situation we may one day find ourselves in, gentlemen. So they discover earth. Abundant, fertile. Able to satisfy their needs. They look upon us not with animosity, but callousness. As we look upon our animals that we depend on for food. Yes, it appears they are driven by circumstance across a billion miles of space, driven on by the greatest force in the universe - survival."

Japanimation is so ho hum (to be blunt, it sucks) - surprised Gerry has sunk
so low. He'd have been better off doing a deal with the Wallace and Grommit mob. ----- Original Message ----- From: "TheLynx" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2003 5:31 AM Subject: [SHADO] Re: FireStorm - a translation of its storyline > Hmmm... sounds like typical Japanimation fare and even less exciting > than Space 1999. > > Of course, maybe the stereotypical Japanimation western thugs, in a > master plot, will blow the moon out of orbit, have it captured by > aliens, then saved by International Rescue.
