Hi all,

as promised here's a short report on the 8th Isoshado event: "Meeting
Colonel Lake". The meeting took place in both Bologna and Milan during last
weekend, and was well attended.

Our guest Wanda Ventham was accompanied by her husband Tim. As some of you
may know, this was the first time ever that Wanda agreed to take part to a
meeting with UFO fans, and we are very proud of it!

Wanda is a very special and nice person, friendly, open to all questions
and jolly smiling. She has not changed at all since the early seventies,
and what catches your attention at first are her beautiful eyes. Wanda has
been very kind to all attendees, and answered all questions carefully and
generously. We must admit that with the UFO actors you never have enough:
since this was the 8th Isoshado meeting, many questions had already been
asked and answered in the past, but Wanda has been able to come up with
other details, previously untold. Topics ranged from her early work with
The Saint, Danger Man, The Prisoner, to her involvement in UFO, and finally
to her views on TV industry now.

Probably, we will post a transcript of the "collective interview" on our
web site. However, a particular episode is worth mentioning. She had worked
twice with Roger Moore in The Saint, and when UFO was shot in Pinewood, he
and Tony Curtis were shooting The Persuaders. When Roger saw her around, he
asked someone what she was doing there. Then, when shooting one of the
usual scenes involving the sliding doors we often see in UFO, Wanda had a
surprise: the door opened and she found herself in front of the smiling
Roger Moore and Tony Curtis. She says she didn't know what to do, and her
face became infrared.

We at Isoshado consider her a very special person, as we do with all other
UFO actors, and are very grateful to her and her husband for agreeing on
meeting with us.

AMELIA! Can you IMAGINE how MISERABLE we (you and I) would be knowing
