Its very difficult to say why I don,t like modern Science Fiction.I don,t think I,ve seen any of the ST rip offs after being disappointed with the NG series.
The original ST had a magic ingredient for me,or was it simply because I was much younger and more impressionable.
Quite liked the the first series of XF,then it seemed to change and I,ve never watched it since.Again Psi-Factor
had good stories early on.I don,t even know if its still
going.Liked the INVADERS very much,although it scared me.
So apart from that ,UFO is best ,as far as I,m concerned.Naturally one can take a detached view and
apply intelligent and critical analysis.Its an interesting process and fuels our discussions after all.
I will not doubt employ this idea in the future to convince
myself and others that UFO was indeed superior for good solid reasons connected with stories,premise and ideas etc..but I know by taking this approach it is easy for others to disagree.My fondness for the series overrides any of that
and goes beyond critical appraisal.
