From SHADO to XCOM...

The closest any of us will get to head up an organization like SHADO is through a PC/video game like XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Certainly, when i played both the original series of games about 20 years ago and the last PC version 5 years ago, i always gave my in-game character as Ed Straker instead of my own name. Which almost never happens...unless it's a female character!

The makers of the game said it was based on the series. This was when the 1994 original was released
