Dear everyone,
I seem to have started something with my comments about Straker and Freemannot doing anything to prevent a murder, but some of you seem to be missing my point. I did make it clear that it wasn't necessary to involve the police at all. Straker or Freeman could simply have used scare tactics byphoning the couple and telling them precisely what they knew about theirplan to murder the husband. This surely would have done the trick! They would have been absolutely petrified and not gone ahead with their murder plan. An innocent man would have been saved, SHADO's security intact and the couple would have had no idea who made the phone calls.
