Just saw this...

I was his "publicist" in 1972/73 and we had a private party for Ed at
my house... in Los Angeles. We all scraped up $$ together and got
him a unique briar pipe, which he seemed to enjoy.

I also got the chance to take hundreds of photos of him... which I
will be making up soon and putting on ebay.

And yes, people WERE participating in UFO fandom in '72! We did a
gig at a toy store, where Ed dressed up in his Straker outfit and
peddled the toys... Some of those shots are a hoot! He was so tired,
having been filming PETS until almost dawn of the gig day... he
rushed to my house, and I quickly (and not bestly) put on his wig for
the gig...

Lots of memories and thoughts... so shocked to hear he had passed
on... and so needlessly!
