Just wanted to thank Mike for letting us know about the Gerry Anderson
article in Starlog (#307). I was disappointed that so little was said about
UFO, though. Obviously the columnist is a Space: 1999 fan. I was surprised
to hear that Gerry was shut out of the Thunderbirds movie. Rather rude of
them, don't you think?

Sadly, movie making these days is all about bums on seats and
box office returns. Studio execs, by and large, don't care much
about how a film turns out as long as it pulls in as much cash as
possible. Those folks aren't film makers, they are accountants.
And, sadly, they often pull rank on those with the real creative
content.
