Gabrielle Drake in Aberdeen

I have just learned that Gabrielle will be in Aberdeen, Scotland
starting August 19th at His Majesty's Theatre in the play The Rivals.
Gabrielle was called in to take over the role that had was originally suppose
to star Jean Marsh who has injuried her back. Jean Marsh who played Rose in
the long running TV drama Upstairs Downstairs also played Janna Wade in the
UFO episode exposed. More details if I hear from Gabrielle.

I believe Jean Marsh played Sara Kingdom in one of the early Dr Who
stories. That is if this is the same Jean Marsh. Anyone else here
watch Dr Who? (The longest running sci fi TV show 1963-1989)

Hi Andy,
Glad to know someone is going. The play is a classic, one of three
written by Richard Brinsley Sheridan. Gabrielle is cast as Mrs. Malaprop.
Her character is so named because of her unique way of speaking. I also
learned that the male leading actor is Michael Jayston who played Russ Stone
in the UFO episode The Sound of Silence.
