George Sewell ISOSHADO meeting

Hi all,

On May 23rd, the Italian UFO fan group ISOSHADO held a meeting with actor
George Sewell. I've posted some photos (sent to me by Teresa @ ISOSHADO)

"Buongiorno ai miei amici italiani fans di UFO e soci di ISOSHADO.

The meeting with our highly regarded guest has started with these words of
greeting, by George Sewell, in Italian.
They read:

"Good afternoon to all my Italian friends and UFO fans and ISOSHADO members.
I am happy to take part in this meeting.
I hope that you will enjoy this sunny day, which I brought to you from
England."

Once again ISOSHADO has allowed UFO fans to meet a UFO actor, the second in
charge of SHADO, back to Italy after five years.

The UFO weekend started on Saturday afternoon, when a specific interview
was filmed in the ISOSHADO Loft and in which George told about his
recollections on his involvement in the series, helped also by a display of
original studio items.

On Sunday afternoon the meeting with fans was opened by a rare and
exclusive video, filmed in the early Seventies, where Sylvia Anderson
explains fashion trends vs. costumes or fashion items as seen in the UFO
series. The video features also Antonia Ellis (Lt. Joan Harrington) in her
Moonbase Girl costume in footage taken both on the set of UFO (but never
seen in any UFO episode) and in some London shops.

After the video, we started the Q&A session with George, helped by some
widescreen shots from Identified which have enabled good interaction
between audience and guest. Besides UFO, George also answered questions on
his role in Kubrick's "Barry Lyndon", his involvement in "Doppelganger" and
some other funny questions.

Good interest was also shown by the attendees in the large exhibition of
models of vehicles, characters and items seen in UFO, whose picts will be
duly published on our website as soon as possible, along with our guest's
photos.

As usual, an autograph&photo session ended the meeting and George, who's
still impressed by the interest shown in UFO after more than 30 years, was
very kind and friendly to everybody.

Special thanks go to the ISOSHADO members who traveled a long way to reach
the venue, and to all the people who helped us in making "Welcome Back,
Col. Freeman!" another successful ISOSHADO event.
