Gerry Anderson in Magazines

Christian J.
Hi All!

Because of the "Thunderbirds" DVD releases there are some
magazines who print articles about or interviews with Gerry Anderson.
It is possible that he will talk about UFO too. I told you about the
GA special in the October issue of "Total DVD" which will be
published on 14th of September 2000. That's the day after tomorrow.
Of course I will buy it (and tell you).

I found a further announcement in "SFX" for the next issue - that
is # 70 (November 2000) - which says:
GERRY ANDERSON - On the eve of the re-release of Thunderbirds, the
puppet master speaks!
On sale 25th of September 2000.

And I received the new "FAB" magazine # 40 yesterday with 12 plus
1 new UFO collector cards (for excample Paul Foster lying topless -
yes, you can see his hairy breast, girls! ;-) - in a hospital bed.
This scene is from "E.S.P.").

Furthermore there is an interview with director Ken Turner in
"FAB". He talks a little bit about UFO (e.g. "I moved in with Keith
Wilson for a while as he was closer to the studio and, funnily
enough, later on when we were doing UFO, I would sleep in Wanda
Ventham's dressing room rather than travelling home." - No, boys! He
only said he SLEPT IN HER DRESSING ROOM, nothing more <chuckle> :-)
But serious: the announcement at the end of the first part of the
interview makes my (and I am sure not only my) mouth water:

----->
NEXT ISSUE
In the conclusion of this interview in FAB 41, Ken Turner discusses
the move from Supermarionation to directing live-action on UFO, what
he thought of the series' stars and how he incurred the wrath of
Sylvia Anderson and got the sack!
<-----

But the best of all in this issue (at least for our model fans on
the list) is the article "Bond & Beyond - The movie magic of Derek
Meddings". It contains two great colo(u)r pictures with the Meddings
family and three of the original models designed by their father: the
SHADO Interceptor, Sky One and the Angel Interceptor. Great pictures!

Uh! And I forgot the voucher with a 1 pound discount for members
at Virgin Megastores if you buy a Thunderbirds single DVD or VHS.
Sadly I have no use of it. :-(

"FAB" is a fabulous magazine, isn't it? :-)
I'm glad to be a member of Fanderson (sounds like an advertisment,
huh? But if someone handles it so well like Fanderson why not praise
him a little for this? :-)

OK, I will tell you if I have more news from the other mags.
