You know, I'm not one to be personally affected to a great degree
when some I don't really know personally dies, no matter how much I
may admire them, or may be familiar with them as a presence on the
TV screen. But there's something truly grim, a certain morbid
strangeness about Ed and Mike dying within a few days of each other.
I've been reading and contributing to this mailing list for years,
since 1998 I think, and in all that time, although some of the minor
players have left us, we've never had to discuss the passing away of
one of the leading actors. So for the death of Ed Bishop and Michael
Billington from unrelated causes to be reported on the same day
seems darkly surreal.. I must admit to feeling a little disturbed by
it, as well as saddened.
