I think you find the other UK Region was Border Television
covering a part of Scotland.
Like you Rob I have great memories of ATV.
They must have repeated UFO during the 70's more than any other region,and I watched them almost religiously.
By the way if you think the ATV ident was great (which it was) make sure you listen to the Start up.

This startup was used right through from about 1958 to 1971
on the ATV region.It reminds you of when TV really was a special occasion.When I heard it again after 35 years it made me cry...my memories of it were so vivid.
In fact I,m going to listen to it again no.
And this group (which owes Marc so much) I,m sure will similarly go on for 35 years.
