Hello Ufo fans.

Just joined your fan club and enjoyed reading your emails. Yes, I
dearly wish that someone would make a film of 'UFO', but even after
lengthy thoughts on this matter, I still have'nt the faintest idea
who I'd like to see starring in it. Ideally Ed Bishop as Straker.
That goes without saying! 'What a guy'.

Well Amelia, its nice to meet a fellow Ed Bishop fan.

I think that he made Commander Straker everything (and more than ) he ever could have been.

More than that, he's so sexy. Who could resist the eyes, the remote, strong, smouldering character, that voice?

Gee, what I would have given...............

I just wish the series could have been around abit longer, just long enough to see the demise of General Henderson. Why I oughta.......

I entirely agree. In fact, I made up an entertaining bookmark with my
favorite snap of Big Blue Eyes. It reads: "Too sexy to be a real man." My
husband was offended until the meaning sunk in. Now he just snickers when
he sees it. *grin*

I'm right behind you on that one; he was an overbearing old goat and I never
did see why he was so pally-pally with him when he wanted him to be Commander
and then turned on him in the later eps. Maybe after he got over his
injuries sustained in the car crash that he really wanted to be in control of
SHADO but couldn't oust Ed from the position (darn...must stop thinking out
loud again).

I'll go along with that one. In the episode with the UFO device stashed in
orbital debris (forgive me, I can't remember the name of the episode), he
really made me want to put my foot through the TV.

Then again, that's a hallmark of a good actor. In Star Trek, Walter Koenig
does a great job on Chekov and we loved him. In Babylon 5, he's detestable
as the PsiCop Bester. Same guy, two roles, one you want to adopt and the
other you wouldn't trust with hauling out your garbage.
