I cant Believe that People still remember this show. I loved it and the show that came after it Space 1999, The show was before its time. I would love to get the DVD set but it cost nearly $200.00 I did find a web page dedicated to the show and found alot of great info on it.

26 episodes = 560 hours worth of viewing? Must be the 'new math', lol.

It is one of the few shows that really was ahead of it's time and it does still stand up very well compared to recent sci-fi offerings (although I have to say the new Galactica is suberb IMO.) You can pick-up the complete UFO Megaset from deepdiscountdvd for ~$72: http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=ANE070988 Not bad for 560 hours worth of viewing! :) Cheers, -- Rob (UK) >-----Original Message----- >From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On >Behalf Of William Bailey >Sent: 10 January 2007 13:19 >To: [hidden email] >Subject: [SHADO] I cant Beleve > >I cant Believe that People still remember this show. I know this is a site for UFO but I have to comment on todays SCIFI __________________________________________________________________________
Simply I cant.It seems the DandD types took over SCIFI I miss Star Trek and Great British SCIFI. The New DR. WHO is ok and Battlestar Galactica is great. I am Tired Midevil SCIFI and Fantasy stuff. Also what is tiring is giant snake or some new sea monster stuff is trying to send a message that man is destroying the planet. I wish they would redo the SCIFI channel. Bring back UFO and Space 1999 even the Thunderbirds and even Godzilla movies. May be up date the story line of UFO would work. Trying to sell this to the studios would be tough, but it might work. Heh, heh... Note that although my "UFO Series Home Page" (ufoseries.com) hasn't been updated in more than a month, I have NOT abandoned it... it's just that I've been "distracted" this past month with Christmas, plus having my car stolen, troubleshooting computer problems (all of the USB ports on my computer failed), buying a new car, needing to update my wife's business website, etc. It's just been one thing after another, with no time for the UFO website! :-( Marc |
