I recorded it. Wasn't the best print again - lots of scratches etc.
The scene with Jackson and Foster on the executive jet was edited
where they are viewing the film from the XV-104, from where Foster
says "What have you done?" for the first time, right through to
Jackson sitting back in his chair saying - "now, tell me all about
it".
The first part of the edit I could understand, for it led into an
(unnecessary) commercial break, but they also chopped out Foster
threatening Jackson and being throttled by the trolley dolly.
If they think this is inappropriate viewing between 7-8pm, it doesn't
bode well for forthcoming episodes does it? :-( Maybe they won't
be showing them all, or they'll move some to after the "watershed" ?
Interestingly they left in the scene of Foster being beaten up by the
heavies, so maybe it wasn't edited for violence after all! It can't
be for time, as it has a whole hour....?
I do like this ep, good suspenseful story that keeps you guessing
until the end, when you're viewing it for the first time that is :-)
For hardware fans there's not alot going on, but as a story to
develop the characters it hits the mark.
In the scene where Straker is "apologising" for his outfit (gets my
approval actually) I always smile at the sight of Ed Bishop
straightening the knot of his non-existent tie, which is almost
edited out, but not quite ;-)
Bye for now,
