WHen the pilots slide down those hatches, how do they get into the

I could be wrong, but I think I remember someone from the commentaries (Gerry Anderson, maybe) on my US DVDs mentioning that the issue of the pilots getting into the interceptors from the 'slides' was never shown or addressed in the show. The issue of getting from Diver into Sky1 was never directly addressed either. Although it's far easier imagining getting into Sky1 from the slide than it is getting into the Interceptors from the slide, at least to me.

Remember, however, that the Sky pilot RISES into the cockpit on what must be
a slow lift of some sort. So the slide must only get him to the lift, which
then puts him up into the cockpit.

There is no real answer, but it's been a topic for diverting
discussion on the list for a couple of years now :D

I like the idea that an 'injector tube' somehow inserts the
astronaut into the Interceptor. A while ago someone suggested
that the entire cockpit assembly could be inserted into the
craft with the astronaout in place, at the controls.

The idea that the Interceptor silos are pressurised isn't
really a viable one, to my mind - too much air to evacuate
before launch, or vent to the atmosphere.

Where does Moonbase get the oxygen for its air from anyway?
Nuclear submarines use electrolysis to manufacture oxygen from
water, but that's not a freely available resource on the moon.

Isn't that the same procedure women use to remove
unwanted hair? ; )
