Interceptor pilot

It is possible that pressurised entry tubes, similar to the type used in
Thunderbird 2, could be used for the pilots to enter their interceptor
craft:
It would resolve many problems of [de]pressurising.

For that matter whay aren't the interceptor Pilots wearing full
pressure suits?. Doesn't look like it would take much to breach the
integrity of that cockpit. But a pilot might otherwise survive and
make it back to safety if he is wearing a suit. I had the same problem
with "Star Wars". The suits and helmets were not that different.

An aside: Star Wars' Red Leader was played by none other than Drewe
"Capt. Steve Maddox" Henley.

Hi Kevin,

Yes this idea has been proposed in the past, but the apparent
design of the Interceptor doesn't seem to support the airlock
that would be necessary.
