Entry into the Interceptors could be done in the same way as the Eagles
from SPACE:1999 were I.E retractable entry tubes in the silo`s.
The silo`s would need to be pressurised fofor the 'ground' crews to help
seal the pilots in, and also for maintenance purposes.
There would also be th the need for a large
storage area for spares, and to store a spare interceptor or 2, just in
case the others are destroyed, or as back-up to a mass attack.
